MENTEP national workshops to discuss research results – Cyrpus

Between October 2016 and January 2018, 11 national workshops took place in the MENTEP partner countries. The aim was to discuss the results of the policy experimentation with relevant stakeholders like policy makers, researchers and teachers.

Our first workshop took place on 20 October 2017 in Nicosia, Cyprus. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Inspectorate, the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, as well as school heads and teachers discussed, amongst others, teachers’ feedback on the use of the new online self-assessment TET-SAT in their own national context. Based on these discussions, policy makers are to decide on the further use of the tool in Cyprus. The following day, the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute already started a first training with around 20 teachers that is to guide them in their use of the tool and their further professional development on that basis.
